Barry Bonds says he's been told he's not coming back to the San Francisco Giants next year.

Bonds & Son - Thanks for the Memories!
Barry seems to be a guy you either like with all of your heart or despise with all of your venom. I have followed him all throughout his SF Giants career and have had mixed feelings about his apparent personality (or lack thereof) over the years. But his on-field performance can never be be discredited. No matter all of his enemy's attempts at trying to torpedo his career, he is a serious ball player. It's too bad that hatred (or jealousy) for the man had to creep into what is nothing more than a sport. Like Barry said recently, 'it's only a game.' I agree, we're not talking about trying to settle the world's conflicts and bring about 'world peace.' It's just a game! Give the man his due and leave it at that. Good luck, Barry. We will miss you.
Barry was a Showman.
Some of his focus was not the media and he was not liked by them but he could hit the ball. WHAT did we buy a ticket for?
To hear the reporter or see Barry hit the ball?
I wanted to see the ball go BYE BYE. Barry, GOOD LUCK and I hope you find that World Series you deserve.

My Bonds memory will be that he NEVER brought a World Series title to SF. See what brings a smile to Jarrod Washburn's eyes: http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/mariners/2003896465_mari220.html
Barry's integrity as a "natural" will always be questioned but the one thing that nobody can ever deny is that Barry's bat hit more homeruns than anyone in the game and it was his bat and not his personality that filled PacBell/SBC/AT&T park, and the Cove.
We have been lucky enough to have one of the greatest ball players of all time playing in our backyards. My 8-yo son and I bonded over Barry Bonds and cotton candy. My 6-yo son and I got to sit three rows up from the dugout and yell our hearts out for Barry. And last but not least, my 5-yo daughter and I were lucky enough to be there when Barry hit #757. I can still see that swing and the run around the bases. These are moments my children and I will never forget. So I say, thank you Mr. Bonds, for giving this mother some precious memories to last a lifetime.
Now go play some more ball!

Barry Bond R.I.P. You will not be missed. You cheated the system.
Let other cities have the rest of the roids new record.
i been a giant fan for many years im happy for barry and i always will be for long time im berry happy that he broak the record even know there is a lots haters out there they are just jealust they are the stupids fans iever know go barry we all giants fans love you for ever
My favorite Bonds memory would be when I found out that he is leaving! YAY! FINALLY. And yes, he has hit the most homeruns, but he cheated, so who really cares?? The only thing left to say is "*"
A selfish steroid guy, he only hit the ball for his record. Not for the team or the game.
Sure he will go to a team with chances for a world series, for more money.
We will not miss you, and I hope SF will be a team again. Work hard as a unit and bring home a world series! Bye, bye, very, burry, bonds,…oids.
Barry has talent but lacks class glad to see roids gone.
I remember the game we had tickets for at "Pac Bell Park" versus the Dodgers being rescheduled to the last game of the season because of 9/11. My friend Robin had never been to a professional baseball game before. What happens at her very first game? Bonds hits Number 73. She was so excited she called her Dad right there and then. She even has a picture of Barry hitting the ball. She got to see the season HR mark set in her very first game by the future all time HR King. Steroids or not, seeing how excited she was seeing a home run, a historic one at that, at her very first pro baseball game, all I have to say is, "Thank You Barry".
I'm rather glad he's not returning. He doesn't strike me as a good role-model. His attitude seems to be "me first", rather than team-oriented. He also hasn't been forthcoming about whether or not he used drugs, and it looks like he probably did. I think there are things more important than home-runs, such as the message a team sends to its followers, and I am glad the Giants have finally put this into perspective.
